Blah tired. Lots of sculpting work was done tonight, I'm about done putting all of the finishing details on the first 20 Heretics and the True Scale Chaos Lord who will be used in place of Straken for the army is coming along ridiculously quickly. I'll post pictures of them soon, hopefully tomorrow.
So now onto the point of this post, here is the list that I'm currently fooling around with for my Heretics army. Its themed around the fluff for the Word Bearer's traitor legion; always my favorite amongst the bad guys. According to that fluff they corrupt and convert the populations of entire worlds to their causes and then send wave after wave of raving mad cultists at their enemies before they ever even take to the field.
The list includes both Straken and Yarrick for their bubble effects and as and excuse to make Chaos Space Marine models for the army's commanders. I know, Yarrick has a 4+ save and not a 3+, whatever. The army deploys as two platoons that have 20 man blob squads with grenade launchers and lascannons; grenade launchers being a theme for the army ALA dawn of war 2. In front of them is a 50 man conscript squad that acts as a human shield and intermixed with all of this are the units of rough riders, the ogryns, and the suicide bomber demo charge teams.

Again sorry for the lack of a recent update, I'm currently out in Minnesota visiting with family for Christmas. But never fear, today as a special Christmas treat I bring you a file from the archives, the Ultramarines Honor Guard for the Truescale Space Marine Army that I did on commission.
So To start things off here is my favorite, the Ancient bearing an awesome forgeworld banner.

++++INLOADING DATAFILE 011++++ Back from Iraq
Well it was a short an easy deployment overall, none of my guys were harmed and we acchieved our mission and closed down Victory Base Complex in Baghdad. So this is my first full day since being released, a lot of projects are going to be in the chute now as I've had PLENTY of time to plan out what I want to do next.
Things that I will be working on starting shortly are:
A massive the Lost and the Damned army. The main visual theme to start will be a 120 or so man bunch of chaos heretics from the dawn of war series. Also big features will be chaos ogryns based from minotaurs and roughriders based off of chaos spawn. Later there will be a large contigent of mutants as well as a company of both the blood pact and the sons pf sek from the guants ghosts series.
I will also be reworking the landraider main battle tank conversion, I'll start over with more advanced techniques and a much refined overall design. The end goal of is would be to make a fully castable kit that I could sell.
There are a few other things on the back burner for now, but those are the big ones at the moment.
Now I just need to stop buying stuff, I think that I have spent 3 grand on miniatures, modeling suppkies, and better casting devices/more resin and silicon.
So yeah, hopefully I'll have some pictures to show off on a week or so.
Its great to be back.

++++INLOADING DATAFILE 009++++ Imperial Helicopter WIP
Here is something I worked up last night. Its a conversion from the Stormraven kit to turn it into a helicopter for my Merrikan Imperial Guard army to use as valkyries. it took me a few hours, ok a LOT of hours of test fitting to figure out what sort of design I was going to go for, but eventually I had an "Ah HA!" moment. Once that happened it only took 2 hours or so to work out how to build it.

++++INLOADING DATAFILE 007++++ WIP Dias of Destruction progress report
Ok the Dias of Destruction commission is almost done now, I'm just working on the last few details with it right now. I'm VERY pleased with how it has turned out so far, and so is Jason (Check out his happy ravings about it here: ADHDGaming). So here are the new pictures of it.

++++INLOADING DATAFILE 006++++ WIP Dias of Destruction commission
So this post might look familiar for anyone who follows my friend Jason's work over at adhdgaming.blogspot.com, but here is my take on my Dias of Destruction project for him. Anyways, Jason requested that I make an appropriate model for Abstrudael Vect for his upcoming Dark Eldar army, and I immediately started having ideas on how to do it. We both wanted to make a model to represent him on foot and one to represent his "pimp-mobile" Dias of Destruction, and after telling Jason what I would need component's wise I got to work. Oh, and I hope to be the first to actually make a really great representation of Vect in the community as no one seems to have done so till now.
Its still a work in progress but here is where things stand so far:

++++INLOADING DATAFILE 005++++ Truescale Ultramarines WIP
Hey guys its Jon Scott, the guy with really cool IG army from the summer if you don't remember me. Anyways I've been working for the last few months on a really big commission for a friend doing an entire army of Truescale Ultramarines for him.
Rather than do them the way most people have by making each and every guy individually I made my own complete truescale kits with 13 torsos, 7 leg sets, 9 shoulder pads, and something like 20 arms.
Here are some of the pictures we have so far.
Oh, and I can make more of these rather easily if anyone wants to commission me for some...
